A harsh and emotional, but accurate, portrayal of a fatal drunk driving crash will have its broadcast debut on Abington Community Access & Media Friday night.
The “Abington High School – Abington COPES Mock Crash” can be viewed for the first time Friday night at 6 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m. on Abington CAM channels 13 & 28, as well as its YouTube channel.
Abington C.O.P.E.S. sponsored the mock crash scene, which featured Abington High School students portraying a group of friends that drove away from a party after drinking, and crashed into a tree, killing one of the friends. It features a by- the- book response by the Abington police and fire departments, and an appearance by a local funeral home.
Abington CAM recorded the portrayal, which took place on Gliniewicz Way during the senior class’ final week of school.
