TJ Washburn rolled a final string 115 to win the 1st Annual Abington News Turkey Classic Sunday afternoon at Webster Timber Lanes.
Washburn outlasted 18 other bowlers to take the title, including Brian Franey, William Remick, and Matt Nichols in the championship round.
The event raised more than $200 on behalf of the Abington Food Pantry.
The championship string was recorded by a crew from Abington Community Access & Media and will be broadcast at a later date.
“This was a great event that we hope will become a regular part of the Abington community calendar,” said Abington News co-founder Rick Collins. “Big thanks to our partner, Webster Timber Lanes, for helping coordinate a fun afternoon. And we’re very appreciative of Abington Cable Access & Media’s support as well. ”
Washburn won a trophy, and a basket full of Thanksgiving dinner goodies, as well as a $25 gift certificate to Trucchis for a Turkey Day turkey.
