An employee at a North Quincy Street car lot was seriously injured this morning after becoming trapped under a truck.

Abington Deputy Fire Chief John Glynn said the man was transported to Brockton Hospital with “life-threatening injuries.”

Glynn said the fire department received a call late Wednesday morning reporting a person trapped under a vehicle at 267 North Quincy St. The initial call came in from Means Auto Sales, which is located next door.

Firefighters were notified while en route that the man had been extricated and CPR was being performed on him.

Glynn said firefighters provided advanced life support treatment when they arrived and then brought the man, estimated to be about 30 years old, to Brockton Hospital. His status was not immediately known.

Abington Police, the Massachusetts State Police, and OSHA are investigating the accident.

Abington’s western boundary runs along the eastern side of North Quincy Street from about the edge of The Gables condominium complex to the Chestnut Glen property north of Chestnut Street.
