AHS PEER LEADERS RUNNING WINTER COAT DRIVE
The Peer Leaders will be conducting a Winter Clothing Drive through December 9. All winter clothing and additional items collected will be donated to the St. Vincent DePaul Society to distribute to local homeless shelters. Donations can be dropped off at the large box located in Mr. Siegel’s room (2205.)
AUDITIONS FOR DRAMA CLUB MUSICAL IS NEXT MONDAY
Auditions for the spring musical, Carrie, will be held on Monday, Dec. 5, and Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Auditions are open to any eligible student. No prior performing experience is required. Students will need to sing and dance as part of the audition regardless of the size of the role you may be interested in. Any student who cannot attend on Monday can come on Wednesday, but students are not required to be at both dates unless scheduled for a call back on Wednesday. Show dates are March 9-11 and rehearsals will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings beginning January 4th.
SENIOR CENTER HOLDING BREAKFAST WITH SANTA ON SATURDAY
This annual event will be held on Saturday, December 10, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The cost is $5 per person; children under 4 are free. There will be a Santa Store where children may purchase up to five Christmas gifts at a cost of $1.00 each. The Senior Center is looking for donations for the shop. Items could include jewelry (earrings, necklaces, etc.), jewelry boxes, and things intended for mothers, grandmothers, aunts; as well as things for men, i.e., belts, key chains—used items in good condition are welcome. Donations may be dropped off at the Senior Center.
INFORMATION SESSIONS FOR ENERGY PROGRAM ON TUESDAY
Information sessions on Abington’s Community Choice Power Supply Program will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 10:45 a.m. at the Senior Center and Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Town offcials and representatives of Colonial Power Group will be in attendance.
The Abington Community Choice Power Supply Program is a municipal aggregation program that allows local governments to combine the purchasing power of its residents and businesses so that it can provide them with an alternative electricity supply.
