YOUR CHOICE ’23: Planning Board candidates introduce themselves

Each week, the Abington News is asking the two candidates for the Planning Board board a question to help voters better understand them as candidates. Election Day is Saturday, April 29.

Because the Editor of Abington News is also a member of the Planning Board, questions for this series were crafted by Jeff Welch, a former member of the Abington Zoning Board of Appeals and past Plymouth County Commissioner. Candidate responses are published as submitted, in the order they were received, and were not edited.

This week’s question: What experiences and qualifications do you have that makes you a good candidate for the Planning Board?

I have 36 years of experience as a professional city planner. I have served an the Planning Board for 25 years. I am a member of the American Planning Association and serve on the board of Citizen Planner Training Collaborative. I have taken many planning courses over the years. I am a graduate of UMass Boston (BA Political Science) and Bridgewater State University (Masters of Public Administration).
