Three veteran municipal administrators have made the short list to become Abington’s next Town Manager, including the Select Board’s hand-chosen interim.
The Town Manager Search Committee unanimously recommended Joseph Reynolds, Angie Ellison, and Michael Maresco to the Select Board as finalists.
The three candidates will be publicly interviewed by the Select Board on Tuesday night. The Select Board expects to then formally choose a candidate at the same meeting.

The Board has already scheduled a meeting for Thursday morning at 10 a.m. to negotiate a contract for its preferred candidate. The negotiations will take place during a closed-door executive session. The board will then convene in a public session to formally vote on a deal.
Reynolds is the former Chief of Staff and Director of Operations for the City of a Braintree. He’s currently Chief Operating Officer for the state Executive Office of Veterans Services.
Ellison has previously served as Town Administrator in Fairhaven, Uxbridge, and Blandford. She previously applied to be Town Manager back in 2019.
Maresco is the current Interim Town Manager. He previously was Town Administrator in Marshfield and Assistant Secretary of the Commonwealth.
The Town Manager Search Committee consists of Select Board Chair Roger Woods, Select Board Vice Chair Suzanne Djusberg, Finance Committee Chair Matt Salah, School Committee Member Caroline Ellis, and Select Board appointees George O’Toole, Greg Hanley, and Ted Duggan.
