Selectmen broadcasting tonight’s meeting live

With public gatherings of more than 10 people prohibited, tonight’s Abington Board of Selectmen meeting is closed to the public, but will be broadcast live for residents to view.

The board will conduct the meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. from the Abington Community Access & Media studio located at the Middle School/High School. According to the meeting agenda, the board will be discussing the ongoing search for a new Town Manager, including strategy and logistics for conducting candidate interviews.

Selectmen announced last June that they had been unable to reach a new contract agreement with LaFond. The board formed a Town Manager Search Committee last summer to start the process, as required by the Abington Town Charter. The committee submitted their four recommended finalists to the board last week.
