Green Team Junk Removal is hosting a recycling event at the Beaver Brook Elementary School Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is for residents of Abington, Whitman, and East Bridgewater, and is co-sponsored by state Rep. Alyson Sullivan-Almeida, MassSave, and the Town of Abington, among other organizations.
The main draw is a dehumidifier turn-in drive. Anyone who turns in a used dehumidifier will receive a $30 rebate form from National Grid.
Abington Police will also be collecting food donations for the St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Pantry.

Entry cost is $20 per vehicle. The entry fee is waived for those who are dropping off a dehumidifier or clothing and food donations.
Participants can drop off non-upholstered furniture, patio furniture, clothing, blankets, gardening tools, and exercise equipment free of charge. There are additional charges for mattresses, electronics, batteries, smart phones appliances, tires, snowblowers, and other items. Check the graphic for more details.
In addition, the town’s Compost Site on Groveland Street will be open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and accepting items for dropoff.
The list of fees can be found below. Please plan to pay by check; cash and cards not accepted
