It’s November so it’s officially fall high school varsity tournament season.
The #23-ranked Abington girls soccer team hosts #42 Westfield Technical Academy in a preliminary tourney game Sunday night at 5 p.m. The talented Green Wave girls come in to the postseason with a 7-10-1 record and hope to take some teams by surprise.
The boys varsity soccer team is ranked #11 in the D4 tourney, thanks to a 10-3-5 record that included a win last week over Whitman-Hanson. They will host #22 Malborough-based Advanced Math & Science Academy Tuesday at 5 p.m.
The 6-2 Green Wave football team will find out its fate later Sunday when the tournament brackets are released. They were ranked #7 in Division 6 prior to their latest 42-7 win over Middleborough.
