COACHES: Head Coach: Kate Casey; Assts/JV coach: Sammi Zina (2nd yr); Varsity Assistant: Marty Golightly (1st yr)
PROGRAM SIZE: 40 student-athletes between JV and varsity
KEY PLAYERS: Hope Montgomery, senior defender, SSL all star last year, excellent defender. Molly Joyce, junior keeper, played full time as a sophomore and split time as a freshman, excited to have her for another 2 years. Avery McCann, senior midfielder, excellent playmaker. I am looking for each player to make an impact each time they step out on the pitch
CIRCLED GAMES: Excited to play Sandwich, which is new to the South Shore League. Always have great games vs Rockland and Middleboro. Continuing our out of league play with Holbrook and West Bridgewater.
KEYS TO SUCCESS THIS SEASON: Working as a unit, 11v11. We cannot play 11 different games out on the field, we need to work and communicate, listen and talk, as a team. Main focus is possession, this is huge in building teamwork and advancing player’s skill and winning games. Be brave! Try something new, challenge a player, take someone on 1v1 and don’t be afraid to shoot the ball!
HOW WILL YOU BLEND IN YOUR RETURNING PLAYERS WITH PROMISING YOUNGER PLAYERS? Each season, blending the team into a cohesive unit is my favorite! I love working with the girls to bring them together to work on a common goal, winning the game.
